Walker’s work Is Politics Art? shown in Québec 75, revisits many of the issues raised by the projects he produced in collaboration with Haslam and Heyer. A series of photographs hung in a grid depict the artist shaking hands with museum directors, curators and other key individuals he encountered at exhibition openings. While producing a synoptic tableau at the Montreal art world at a given moment of its existence, Is Politics Art? Reveals the degree to which Walker was complicit in the system he denounced in order to safeguard his economic survival.
